Society Rate
It is important to take note that the Society settles claims at the Society Rate, which is based on the National Health Reference Price List (NHRPL) for 2006 as approved by the Department of Health plus an inflationary increase. It is therefore very important that members firstly establish from their treating doctor, or specialists, such as aneasthetists, and other service providers whether they charge for their services at the Society rate or higher rates, as some service providers may charge at higher rates which may result in co-payments by our members.
